PRP Treatment

What is PRP Treatment ?

Platelet Rich Plasma

is when  a small amount of blood is taken from the patient, the plasma is separated, this is a light yellow liquid containing growth factor.

Platelets are small blood cells that contain growth factors essential for promoting the regeneration of cells and induces the production of collagen.

Using PRP growth factors that stimulate blood vessel growth can help with hair follicle vascularisation, this promotes  hair growth and increases  follicle size.

Who is an ideal candidate for PRP?

PRP is suitable for both men and women experiencing various types of hair loss and thinning hair. It can be used as a treatment before and after hair transplant procedures. Additionally, it is beneficial for women and men of all ages including individuals who may not benefit from other hair loss therapies. This is a very safe and natural treatment as the only product used is your own plasma.

  • Men and Women all ages.
  • Post partum.
  • Suitable for many  hair loss conditions.
  • Post hair transplant.

What does the procedure involve?

During the procedure, blood is extracted from the patient’s arm and placed in a specially prepared PRP tube, this goes into a  centrifuge which activates the PRP separating the red blood cells from the plasma, the plasma contains the important growth factors.

The PRP is injected into the affected areas of the scalp using a very small needle. We use combination techniques to administer the plasma in an even thorough distribution.
